Pure Joy

The best part of the week was going to Dallas to see my favorite people in the world. It was so fun. I loved going to the temple with them. It was pure joy. We went to lunch after wards and ate goat, it was pretty good.
We are working hard to find, teach and baptize. We have some great members here.  Alivia Brown will be getting baptized on April 15th, she is so cool. We are praying for miracles to have more people come unto Christ.
I included a picture of Elder Nguwa and I in a moment of pure joy.

Dallas Temple trip with Plano family  for Ana to receive her endowments

'Letter" from March 20th

Today was the birthday for one of the elders in my zone so we grilled fajitas for him. It was really fun and I think everyone had a good time.
We have a lot of good stuff going on here. We are going to play soccer though so I got to go.

Goodbye Plano:( Hello Gilmer:)

It was so hard for me leaving Plano. I feel like I left my children behind. But I know the new Elder that replaced me and he is the man so that was comforting.
Our ward here is a MACHINE, we are out with members everyday on splits. Our bishop even set a baptismal date for us at church yesterday.
I have been reading a lot in the New Testament and it's so good. I really enjoy reading about our Savior.
Today we are driving to Dallas so we can go to the temple tomorrow.
Literally everyone here smokes. Everywhere we go there's cigarette upon cigarette.  This is basically a pure English area right now so feel free to email me in Spanish because I am going to lose it fast.
Right now we  are teaching a teenager named Conner. He is literally a genius, defiantly to smart for his own good. He is a sweet kid but he doesn't believe in God or Jesus Christ, which is like the first time I have seen that my whole mission. Everyone here at least says they believe in Jesus even if they don't really mean it. It's been difficult teaching him, last night I think we made some progress though, in that he thinks he felt the spirit. Because he is so smart he loves to read, once he reads the Book of Mormon his heart will melt into Jesus's hand.

Shouts to all the ballers out in Plano, I miss y'all so much!
Love,
Elder Pattee

PS. Oh yeah my new companion is form the Congo and has a crazy story. I still don't know all of it but maybe I'll fill you in next week.

Elder Hans Nguwa

Zone Leader

Dear Brother and Sister Pattee,

I am pleased to inform you that your son, Elder Trevor Pattee has been called to serve as a Zone Leader in the Texas Dallas Mission.  I believe that his ability to lead by example and his willingness to serve others will be a great benefit to the mission and to the Lord's work.

This will be a great opportunity for him to develop his leadership and organizational skills.  He will have responsibility for giving workshops and training those in his Zone.  He will still have a proselyting area and will be most effective as he shows by example how missionary work can be done.

Your faith and prayers in his behalf will be heard by our Father in Heaven and felt by your son and those he serves.  We appreciate your support and sacrifices to allow him to serve here.

May the Lord bless you and your family in all that you do.

Sincerely,

Brian K. Taylor, President
Texas Dallas Mission

Last Supper in Plano

Plano has been good to me

Hey so I am not sick anymore. Life is good here in Plano. I feel so comfortable here, I know all the members really well. The branch president and I are literally best friends. I have been here 6 months so I'll probably be transferred next week. Plano has been good to me.

We had some awesome baptisms this week for people that I absolutely love. I really think Joseph will serve a mission and Ana will be going to the temple before I know it. We are going to do baptisms for the dead, with all these converts here soon.  We gave Juan the Aaronic Priesthood yesterday. We had some other investigators at the baptisms this week which are really looking solid. Here are some picks from the baptism.

Love,
Elder Trev

PS
We don't baptize people for numbers... But I just checked the mission numbers and we officially led the mission this month :)
