Mexican BBQ

This week was pretty crazy. We have a lot of  interesting investigators right now. The Muñoz family is still on fire. We had a family home evening with them, our bishops family and one other recent convert last night. Our Bishop blew the roof off the house with scriptures and solid doctrine. Honestly I didn't even say anything. Joel, the dad would ask a question and our bishop would already have the answer and the next three in his back pocket. We had a lot of fun playing games together. Eventually my companion and I had to leave and they stayed at the bishop's house doing family history stuff. Idk about Y'all but if you can talk an investigator into doing family
history, then you know they are a gold family. We can't even get members to do it. I know I certainly have never done it. We have a few other amazing investigators with dates this transfer and many other investigators in what I like to call "the cocoon" because they are about to sprout into beautiful butterflies.

We were able to give Adrian and his dad (the family that was baptized two weeks ago) the Aaronic priesthood. I guess funny story of the week we were revisiting a family we tracted into a couple weeks ago. They were having Mexican BBQ, which was an absolute delight. They had a few neighbors over and we were talking to them. One of them was way "burracho" but I got talking to him. In his drunken Spanish he tried to convince me that God had sent me to him to buy him beer because he was too intoxicated to go to the store himself. He really wouldn't drop it and made a surprisingly descent argument considering his state of mind. If I didn't do it he could hurt someone else when he went to do it himself. But, we did get a return appointment with the family we were trying to find, they were sober, really nice and amazing cooks.

The guy we did service for at the car lot, invited us to a huge family BBQ at his lot. Only one person of like the thirty people that were there, was a members. They are really successful family
and are all really hard working which is pretty rare here... We had the sister missionaries with us too and we were just planting seeds everywhere. Apparently when the one member did join the church her whole family was really against it, now her parents are taking discussions and inviting us to family gatherings. Everyone at the BBQ was really nice to us. We actually ended up going inside the car lot to teach a lesson about the Priesthood and give one of the struggling
family members a blessing. So I hope things work out there."
